The Prophetic : Pt4 – ‘Understanding the Deep Things of God’

  1Cor 2:9-10; Rom 10:17

Both ‘Shama’ Hearing and ‘Akouo’ Heaing train our spiritual hearing to discern the voice of God:The difference in the two is in the response of the hearer.

– the Old Testament Shama hearing responds with obedience.

– the New Testament ‘Akouo’ hearing responds in faith.

The Holy Spirit moves within the spirit of the believer and stirs the sound of what is taking place at that moment in the heart of God. His desire is to reveal truth and partner with us to declare the Kingdom of God on the earth…

Faith is always the response to the word of God when we ‘hear’ it with understanding.

When the Holy Spirit Speaks the Word, He’s revealing the Person, Power and Authority of Jesus

We need to respond to The voice of God in obedience. Submitting to the will of God is first and foremost the beginning of our relationship with Him. But obedience to His word must bring about a response of faith where we partner with His Spirit to declare the authority of His Kingdom on the earth.

Human understanding is limited to human reasoning…we can never understand the wonder of the Father’s heart without the revelation of the ‘Helper’, His Spirit to reveal it’s depth.

When the Holy Spirit lifts the veil from your spiritual eyes, ears, and heart, you can perceive truth that was veiled from your understanding. This is called revelation.

There is a connection between the eyes and the ears being open to the Holy Spirit, which allows the heart to comprehend.

The prophetic word or revelation comes through three basic spiritual senses: the eyes, the ears, and the heart.

…We have the ability to hear the voice of God…He opens our sight to see from His perspective…and touches our hearts to feel as He does.

The three basis spiritual senses of the prophetic: eyes, ears, and heart…

All three work together to reveal truth

-the eyes of understanding (Eph 1:18)

-the ear to hear the word and respond in faith (Rom 10:17)

-out of the heart will flow rivers of living waters (John 7:38)
